We are excited to announce a new season for 2019 - 2020 of The Metropolitan Opera’s award-winning series of operas captured live in high definition which continues for its 14th year, featuring five new productions (incl. Porgy & Bess, Der Fliegende Holländer, and Wozzeck), including two Met premieres (Agrippina and Akhnaten), screening concurrently with the New York season. PLUS thrilling and sumptuous returning productions from masters including Donizetti, Massenet, and two more Puccini masterpieces, all captured live in stunning high definition, only on the big screen.
Additionally, the Met Opera will also be presenting two special Winter Encore titles at selected cinemas; Rossini’s raucous The Barber of Seville starring Joyce DiDonato and Juan Diego Flórez, and Puccini’s heart-stopping La bohème, starring Kristine Opolais and Vittorio Grigolo.
